    Vista to 7 compatibility

I am wanting to know if some/most/all hardware that is compatible with Vista is also compatible with 7. I upgraded to 7 a few months ago and so far have had no issues.

Some USB devices for example say supported by XP/Vista but do not not mention 7. I am thinking that it is more that they are lagging in saying what they do support.

One item I have noticed this with is Bluetooth dongles.

Look forward to what people have to say form experience and factual knowledge.

    Regards,

Hello Cogs, and welcome to Seven Forums.

This link below from Microsoft can help determine if software or hardware is compatible with Windows 7 or not.

Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs and Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, and Downloads

In addition, you can also check at the device manufacturer's website in their download/support area to see if they may have a Windows 7 driver version available for the device. Usually if it runs in Vista, it will run in Windows 7 as well.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
