Can i change my processor

I just wanted to know that if i can change my processor of my desktop to a better one.
I right now have celeron processor motherboard acer veriton series with four slots for ddr3 ram
and everthing is awsome only thing it has a celeron processor.
And i cannot view the motherboard model no

Since you have a Gigabyte MB that uses DDR3, it's almost 100% you can upgrade your CPU, but as wallyinnc suggested, if we know your MB, we can tell what socket it uses, and what CPU's you could choose from. A Guy

As long as it is a real Gigabyte board, and not an OEM version made to Acer's specs,

If it is a real one I agree with you it is 100% possible to upgrade the CPU, board and bios support willing.

If it is an OEM version made for Acer then the changes fall way off (close to zero) as they and all other system builders (Dell, HP, etc) like to not only lock the bios against overclocking and some of those other features that those of us that build our own take for granted, they also like to restrict the bios to not much more in the way of CPU support than the one that the computer shipped with. They would rather sell you a new computer than allow you to upgrade the CPU.

socket 775 lga so yes u can up grade the processor my advice would be to keep it 95 watts or under because most oem boards dont seem to go any higher

It's depend from compatibility of the motherboard with processor it self.
choose processor that have same pin configuration.
