I cannot format my new internal hdd.
I just bought a new 640 GB WD caviar black drive and installed in in my computer. I was previously using a 1TB caviar black and had windows 7 installed on that. I want to now use the 1TB for backup and install on the new drive. now to the problem. When I try to install windows 7 it says that it cannot be formated. The details said "windows could not determine if this disk and its parent devices have necessary driver support." This confuses me because the 1TB drive worked right out of the box. I also tried to use gparted to partition and format the drive but it also could not format the drive. The bios does recognize the drive. What can I do to fix this?
