Printer unable to communicate with PC

Hi. I'm having problems with my printer (Dell V105 ) because every-time I try to print something I get the following: 'Printer unable to communicate with PC.'

I have downloaded the latest driver software from the Dell website which seemed to install properly but the problem remains. Any suggestions please?

Welcome is this a new problem?

Try to uninstall and install again. Boot after install.

Check print spooler service, in services. Type services in search.

Type action center in search and look for printer problems

I've been all through that Rich but does not help. I have changed the USB connector, unplugged the printer and plugged in again but does not make any difference. I had a remote Windows engineer look at it but all he did was to do as you suggested but could not solve the problem. He said there there was a 'patch' that might solve it but did not get back to me.

We may be on to something here. To be sure
    Go to search
    Type services
Once in services in alphabetical order, look for print spooler.

Did the printer come with an installation disk?
If yes may I suggest that you remove the printer/software, re-boot and using the installation disk start again and when prompted connect the printer.
