This thread may pretty much be dead now as it seems that the OP has pretty much made up his mind -- but check this out: ECO C240 A.L.C.

Looks to put the H50 on the back burner...

That's pretty awesome. Wouldn't work in my case though, as I only have 2 140mm fans, and 2 230cm fans. Still, not a bad price...

Well, I opted for the H50. Seems to tick all the box's. Price, space, cost and performance. Should have it for tomorrow when I will attempt to fit it, provided I get rubbing alcohol to remove the old thermal pad.

When it's installed I'll post back with my results.

Cheers again guys for all the input.

So ordered the H50 from Novatech yesterday and it arrived today. Which is pretty sweet delivery for across the drink.

Getting the the stock heatsink off required a bit of tugging here and there but it came away in the end. Removing a heat sink is like making love to a beautiful woman ... Anyway, cleaned the CPU with Akasa Thermal Interface Cleaner Which had the TIM off in a flash.

Installation was easy enough. Turned out it was a bit of a squeeze in my case. Only managed to get 3 of the screws in but's secured well enough. It's tight under the PSU which worried me a bit but I think it will be fine.

I installed as instructed with the fan drawing air in. So far that seems to keep the system steady at 32C idle. Ran a few games and the highest it hit was 47C. So pretty happy given that with the warm weather the old HSF was letting it hit 40C idle and was very noisey. Lowest temp so far was 28C.

Here's a few pics (sorry about the crap phone quality)

To any of the guys who own this unit. What way do you run your fans? I've seen pics of people putting a fan either side of the radiator. If your to do this, which direction would you run them? I have an intake fan as you'll see in the pictures and I'd consider using it to double up if it would help performance. Or maybe I should make it an exhaust now that the rear is drawing air in. What do you think?

I actually have mine as an exhaust -- contrary to the installation instructions. My reason is that the video cards exhaust their air right below where the radiator would be intake-ing air.

I had two fans, but removed the extra because it was a little too noisy for me. But both fans were not identical, either. I'll probably go out this weekend and get two identical fans to install together.

I run 2 Antec Tricool fans on medium speed with air blowing in. My case has a 140mm exhaust fan on top. I think you should try blowing out with your setup Kyle.

Looking for a new case and liquid cooler
So I'm looking into another cooler and case. For the case, I was wanting something with a lot of airflow, side window, 140mm fan support, USB3, and support for a dual 120 or 140mm Rad. For the cooler I was looking into the corsair h105 or 110. Ideas?
