Catalyst 8.12 dual screen still crashing

In Vista, I'll get a BSOD from atikmdag.sys with 2 screens. In 7, I just get a complete freeze, no BSOD. I can only assume the same driver is at fault.

Just curious if any other ATI users with dual screens having system freeze issues?

maybe you try to update your windows.
maybe there are more compateble drivers in the updates?

You should post your mini-dump files from the BSOD and/or event logs. That should help the more technically literate users to help you.

Otherwise, make sure that you're using the latest drivers. If you still get crashes, you can try reverting to older drivers.

I also suggest that you remove one of your video cards if possible and see if that solves your problem. I don't know if your single card will support dual screens, but CrossFire could be causing your problems.

I looked at the date this thread was originally posted. Then I looked how long ago the only two responses were. I fell out of my chair laughing. LOL
