Canon Lide 60 - WIA driver

    Hi!

I have one problem. I have Windows 7 RC (build 7100, 64-bit) as my primary (only) OS. Everything works just fine but i have one "little" problem.
I have Canon Lide 60 scanner and its not working completely. I can scan winth CanoScan Toolbox but i canīt access scanner settings under control panel. And i canīt import/scan directly through Photoshop.
I just receive error message about WIA driver.

    Here is screen:

I get this message when i am trying to double click on icon in control panel or in photoshop.

    Any idea?

BTW: in Vista 64-bit this scanner works good.

Look in your old Windows VISTA/Windows directory for a file named twain_32.dll and copy it to your Windows 7/Windows directory.

Worked for me so I wish you same luck.

Ok i will try that but i dont have other OS installed. Do you know how to extract this files from Vista DVD? Or will this work if i copy files from my sisters laptop that have Vista 32-bit installed?

The main thing is to get the file installed in Windows7/windows directory. Get it from wherever you can, so for sure if you copy it from your sisters computer it would solve the problem.

The only other suggestion that I have is to go to the program that you want to use for scanning and see if you can find an option to select scanner to use. If you can find that option then check and see if there is an option to use Twain scanner, if it is there select it as the scanner you want to use.

If that not do the trick then I do not know what is next to try.

    Hi all!

My solution to the lide 60 WIA problem in win7 is to install WIA drivers for Windows XP from US canon site and that works !!!

Could you post the link to the relevant WIA drivers? I couldn't find it on the US canon site, and I am having the exact same problem.

The only xp driver I could find refused to install, as it was for a 32-bit system.

Sory for delay, unfortunately the driver was instaled on 32 bit OS so I don't know what's the behaviour on x64. You may try to install drivers in compatibility mode...

    Driver:
WIA Driver - CanoScan LiDE60 Scanner WIA Driver 1.2.1.0 for Windows XP

Downloaded & tried it in compatability mode, it still gave me the same error.

The curious thing is that when I hook it up to my other machine (also running Win7), the plug-and-play works perfectly.
