Would need to get the driver from Sony if t is built in otherwise the manufacture of the webcam.
What software are you using to run the camera? Are you running 2 or more programs that use the camera? Have you checked and tested all the program's camera settings?
Some diagnostics:
Can you tell if the camera is powered? Is there an LED that comes on?
Go to Start and in the search box type: Device Manager. Open DM.
- Are there any yellow warning symbols?
- Find the Camera, expand the selection, highlight the Ricoh Camera device, and right click and choose Properties. Does it say the device is working?
- Check the driver tab, what does it say about the current driver?
You can uninstall the camera from Device manager by highlighting the Ricoh Camera device, and right click and choose Uninstall. Reboot the computer and Windows will find the camera and try and reload the drivers. If it asks, use the Vista driver download from Sony.
Check the Ricoh website to see if they have put out a W7 driver.
If you know how to enter your BIOS, do so and see if the camera is activated there. (Do not make any other changes to your BIOS settings unless you know what you are doing or you could trash your laptop.)
Let us know what you find.
Here is the driver for your camera.... Sony Download Page
