There is an article on the Linksys website that explains exactly what to do if you encounter the error 211 when installing on Win 7: Library Search

As regards your USB wireless adapter, perhaps you should seek support at its maker, Linksys (Cisco). Is the driver CD new enough to include Win7 support? If not, there may be drivers available for download. (I checked, but the name that you provided doesn't seem to be an actual model name.)

Good luck.
Thank you for your post,
But I HAVE a HP Pavilion P 6550,
and it doesn't have a internet card
It does have a internet PORT,but doesn't have a internet card integrated.
I don't think the driver cd is new enough,It's from 2009.
What can I do then?
It would be unusual to have an ethernet port installed without a NIC connected to it.

Do any network controllers show up in Device Manager? Should be a Realtek 8111C:

As for the Linksys USB adapter, drivers for hardware version 1.0:

Maybe, the problem is that it isn't compatible with windows 7?
It is compatible with windows xp and vista, but windows 7 didn't even exist when they maked it. Could that be the problem?
