The i5-750 runs all four cores at 2.8GHz. Games don't really take advantage of hyper-threading, so your best choice is the 750.

What Fumz is referring to is the turbo mode. The BCLK is 133MHz the rated multiplier is 20x (20x 133MHz = 2.66GHz) with 3 or 4 cores being used, the multiplier will be 21 (21x 133MHz = 2.792GHz). With 1 or 2 cores being used, the multiplier can go as high as 24x (24x 133MHz = 3.192GHz).

    Im lost for that explanation.

Actually sory if this is not accepted this site and i dont know ill be warned for it.

My purpose really to run emulators like Nintendo Wii.

I'll not post the link to be safe but its a open source. And tested working.

I tried my Pentium Dual Core E6500 2.93 Ghz but i can feel that its having a delay while playing for it.

It is said that advance console for Emulators need more clockspeed. And researching they always advice for 3ghz.

I went to the PC Shop and they said that its not really good for overclocking the processor.

So im deciding i5 760 which is 2.8 ghz and the price is not painful.

    Need advice.

I would not spend $ if its not really doing good on Ex: Wii Games.
Im planning this not only wii but for future games also.
    Playing high video quality.

Playing lag makes the game boring. You would not feel the active games if the specs is not good.

There are no reviews yet for the i5 760, but it is basically the same specs as the 750 except it has a higher clock. So I would expect it to be a great CPU. And the price difference is so small, I'd think it would be a good choice. A Guy
