    A New Printer

Hi, I was wondering if anyone of you guys could recommend a printer / scanner

    I have a printer/scanner and a normal printer

    printer/scanner:
    - Konica Minolta magicolor 2480MF

    printer:
    HP deskjet 6122

And my conclusion is: that both printers are total GARBAGE and I want to go look for another one where I will not encounter a problem every freaking time I use it.

So what do you guys think?
oh btw: I need a printer that is compatible with Windows 7 and Mac OSX

oh and f.y.i: I have tried everything on these printers:

    -Updated the drivers.
    -Re-installed the drivers.
    -Re-installed the printers them selves.
-Installed them on other computers ( the one they are connected to is a:
"COMPAQ presario 6000" and is running "Windows XP SP3".
-Changed some of the settings for the printers.
    -Changed their input locations.
-Changed some of the settings on the printers them selves.
But nothing seems to fully work, the things I have done did work on some levels but is still as annoying as it was before

So I think it is time for an upgrade

thank you for you time and your answer

What do you want to do with this printer?
    Print Photos?
    Print on CD's.
    Scan documents?
    Network it?
The more info you can give the better we can help.
Canon and Epson seem to be the best at the moment.

Lot of good printers and all in one printers out there and fairly inexpensive.
I have MP830 Canon all in one and love it.
Also have an old HP deskjet 6122 that I use for drafts and documents.
Like Kodi is asking.....what do you do with the printer and how much printing do you do?
The biggest question is How much do you want to spend?
    Have fun shopping!

I was thinking about an ordinary Printer ( printing documents/images/etc )
and an ordinary Scanner/Copier ( to scan images on to the computer and such )

Would be even nicer if you could recommend a printer/scanner from this century
( a printer with a scanner and a copier all in one )

I am planning on hooking it up to my Office PC where I will add the printer to my Home-Network so I can print with every computer in the house without hooking them up

    * Later on I will be buying a new router where I can connect my printer and HDD'storages to it. *

Just ask if you have any more questions
And thanks for your replies :)

Well.... my family print 5 times a week, but there comes some times where we print over 100 papers within two days.... so I would like to have a printer that can handle that kind of printing

    - My Konica Minolta printer can only print 20 pages a time ( where it stops because a paper gets stuck ) :S

And I would love to get a printer ( rahter a Canon printer ) that would cost around average but if I haft to use a lot of money on one I will :P

    Must you have color?

Get off the inkjet bandwagon, one way or another. Black and white lasers are under $100.

I would go with one of the Canon's MP series. Canons are great. I have 5 of them and never had any trouble. Be careful with the laser printers. The fumes are toxic. If you get one, get one with WiFi so that you can place it far away from where people breathe.
