    Intel Desktop Control Center???

    Hi All -

So I just built a new machine around Intel's DX58S0 motherboard and have generally been successful with pretty much everything thus far.

I have one "real" issue though and one likely non-issue.

First thing: this motherboard has controllable fan headers, but that stuff can only be changed using Intel's Desktop Control Center. This is all well and good, but for the life of me I can't get this thing working in Windows 7 x64. I've tried in compatibility mode (XP, Vista) with no progress. Anyone had any luck getting this to work?

Second thing: is there an INF/driver set for this motherboard that's W7 compatible? Again, tried installing in compatibility mode, but no dice.

    Thanks!

    Hi quadrinary,
When you say compatibility mode do you mean Virtual Windows XP Mode? Or do you mean you went to the properties of the .exe and told it to run in compatibility mode? Thanks

Yea, I went to the compatibility tab and told it to run as Vista SP1. No dice. Also, totally shut off UAC an also tried "run as admin" - no luck.

    Hi quadrinary,
Maybe there is something on this intel page you can try. The date shows 2/17/2009.
