    Internal Hard Drive Password Protection

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit (SP1) on my Small Business Computer
Three Internal Hard Drives: CDrive is OS, DDrive is Data, EDrive is Data

I would like to password protect both of my data drives. I want to have to enter a password to access ANY info on these drives...is this possiable? Any and all help or suggestions here is fully appreciated. :)

Kinda like full disk encryption? The idea being that a stolen drive does not equate to loosing data?

Using windows 7 Ultimate/Enterprise has a feature called BitLocker which will do exactly what your asking. Since you are using 7 Pro, you would have to use some sort of 3rd party software to do that. Doing a google search for such software comes up with a lot of free and paid software for doing that.

Thanks BassFisher...I did the search but there are so many that I'm just not sure which would be best. Could you recommend one or maybe two? I was told that even though the 7Pro doesn't have the bitlocker, I could still download and use the bitlocker?

I highly recommend Truecrypt - TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software for Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux - it's free and extremely capable, frankly I can't imagine a better encryption app than this one :) (I use it for my OS partitions on both my laptop and desktop PCs and for full encryption of an external backup drive)

I read that there is a bitlocker in windows 7 but i don't know if it suitable in my o.s. My pc is running in windows 7 professional with a 32bit os. I also read that bitlocker is just for windows 7 ultimate and i forgot the other version. Can i use the bitlocker in my windows 7 professional? I appreciate all your help. Thank you.
