    reFormatted External HD Help

Recently, I attempted to copy a tv show recording I had from my Dish DVR to an external HD, which I would then use to transfer to my computer. I saved all of the files onto my HD.
It then had me reformat the drive. Unfortunately, I discovered that I couldn’t copy the show.
Now, when I plug the external HD back into my computer (in the original USB port), Windows 7 recognizes it (Under Control PanelàView Devices and printers). It sees that it is a USB storage device.
However, it’s not seen under Computer, whereas it previously showed up under ComputeràHard Disks.
Is there any way I could get it to show up in Computer, else mount it so that I actually can reformat it?
Any help would be really appreciated.
In case you were wondering, it’s a Simpletech 500 GB Hard Drive, named SimpleDrive SaveAll.
    Thanks in advance!

Have you gone to Disk Management? You'll want to create a new partition and format it from there. :)

    How would I do that?

EDIT: Thanks, profdlp! Deleted all other partitions and created a single new one. Worked like a charm.
