    Broadband to go?

Hi, I am new here. I have just installed windows 7 home premium 64bit this morning. Everything went very well except when I try to install my broadband internet stick it will not let me. In the properties it tells me that it cannot install (code28). I have searched the realtek site and they donot provide drivers as it is all installed on the stick. Anyone with suggestions or advice would be appreciated. I am not a computer wiz and will be slow in fixing things. Ask questions as needed to be able to help. Baliah

Hello baliah7, and welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

What can you tell us about the broadband stick? Brand name? Model? any links? What kind of Internet access do you have?

    Cheers!

Hello iseeuu, thanks for the response. The internet stick is a Novatel Ovation MC998D through Virgin Mobile. It worked about an hour earlier on the same system that was running Vista home premium 32bit before I upgraded to windows 7 home premium 64bit.It also works on my laptop and other computer both running Vista home premium 32bit. Thanks baliah7

Welcome to SevenForums. I did find some win7 drivers but not for your model number but you might give them a try, does say for x64 which you will need to get you going. Good luck to you.

baliah7.. Have you tried to add this device using the wizard in the control panel for devices and printers? Maybe windows 7 can help you some with the controls you need.
