Unless the old Dell supply has a weird motherboard power connector, there is pretty much nothing to mess up. Everything has a place, and most things are labeled so that they can't be cross connected. The PSU will probably come with some good directions, too.

Think of it as a challenge. One small step on your path to becoming a PC expert.
