Oh I forgot to mention that I did a clean install of Windows 7... so I have removed the Windows Old folder and now have 20 gig of free space on my SSD, yayyyy

Aha, there was the culprit. That looks more like it although it is still a lot. I suggest you run WinDirStat. That will tell you exactly what's on your SSD and what sizes the folders are. Plus it is fun to play with it. If you snip and post the left top quadrant of the WinDirStat result, maybe we can have a further analysis.

Is this the portion that you meant?

You are close - except you did not specify the drive when starting WinDirStat. So you got a summary of all drives. Try again and specify the SSD drive C (highlight in the first window that pops up and click OK). Then you will get the details of the SSD.

That looks good. Now you know where your space goes. Most of that is in "users". You can now open that folder and have a closer look. It is pretty big. But how come there are still little remnants of Windows.old. I thought you deleted that. You may want to have a look at this: Windows.old Folder - Delete

Hi, it' me again. If you like, you could open Windows and Users in WinDirStat and post the the picture. Maybe we find something that can be eliminated thus saving some more space - e.g. the hiberfile.

I did try to delete that windows.old folder completely but it wouldn't let me as it seems firefox is using the file. Even went into the folder and tried deleting it manually. I'm logged in as Administrator and its asking me to get permission to delete it

Yeah I have to same problem deleting mine as I have a SecuROM file in it that's being used. Personally I wouldn't worry about it since it's such a small file/folder. But there are ways of getting rid of it, I just don't the various procedures at hand.

My two cents.

Try to delete in safe mode. Else, try Unlocker
