How's this for a good answer, your mobo doesn't support 800MHz memory hexxon, which means that 2x2gb pc2-6400 won't work....now you know why it won't boot.

So yeah, funny thing. I almost gave you a laptop bios. Wouldn't that have been funny..... Guess not. You can thank grim for pointing out your CPU. Reading FTW.

I did however find the right one. It seems to be the same as the one you have now but a fresh start never hurt. Also, make sure you reset defaults in your bios. Do it now if you haven't to make sure that is not the problem. If you already have or you do and get the same problem, then do the bios flash.

it should just run at 667mhz then. just like one of a different bandwith range will bottle neck the other? and if that isn't the case then shouldnt my 1 stick of pc-5300 clocked at 667mhz work for it?

Oh, heres another good answer. It only supports 2gb of ram at the most. Leave the bios alone. I think we got an answer.

The Acer Aspire M5600accepts only (DDR2-533MHz/667MHz) Memory i Googled everywhere says nothing about DDR2-800MHz memory anywhere.
