CD/DVD burner will no longer burn

    yeah think thats what im going to have to do, just thought i'd check on here first and see if it was maybe something i could of easily fixed myself that i just didnt know how to do, but obviously not that easy

    Yeah it does show up in device manager
    I edited my post before I saw this. See this Microsoft link. It may help.

    Thanks but i tried this earlier, just came up saying there wasn't any problems
    Did you try all three MS fix-it's in post 2?

    Try this link enter the number then click the link below then save, once it's saved then run it.

    That link that I provided a minute ago does download a file, download it save it to your desktop then run the .exe file, and see if that works

    That link still comes up with the bit saying it couldn't find the target drive.

    Are you choosing the bottom download link? Cause when I do it, it offers me a choise to either run or save.

    This might sound daft but it is possible that you have some dirt on the lens, maybe if you have a cd/dvd cleaner that you could run and see if that helps.
