External HD Enclosure help?

    Dumb question though. I measured my current hard drive and it's 4 inchs...the only kind of cases I see are 2.5 or 3.5 inch ones. Which one should I get?
    4 inch is the external measurement of the width of a standard 3.5 HD

    I'm going to go with the sata/ide USB adapter. Thanks a lot for the help.

    Those adapters are worth their weight in gold. Make sure you get one that handles IDE, SATA, and laptop hard drives if you do any kind of support. I bought one of the Vantec branded products, and I love it.
