Even so, you would need a MAK key or KMS server to activate the corporate version.

Is this Win7 Enterprise version, as it has a different volume licensing scheme but should allow either 32- or 64- bit with each license as does Win7 retail.

If it isn't Enterprise, then you can for sure find a Win7 64 bit installer for your version and it will work with the retail key. If you cannot find your version, we can help you unlock all versions by extracting the ISO, running the ei.cfg removal tool, then burning an all-versions DVD to install your licensed version with your key.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Mac OS X 10.6

gregrocker is right.

1. Make sure your computer hardware can run 64 bit.

2. If it comes under volume licensing, it depends on the company who purchased the license, what they will distribute and last but not the least point; which type of License. I am a basic MS partners network member, if I buy a "Volume licensing kit" ; I can distribute the OS version as I wish. Obviously, some company supplies one version only; because:

Say, I paid ABCD USD for XYZ number of licences (not keys); I am allowed to use it for XYZ number of PCs only (of any version, 32 or 64 bit), Activating any version will "use up" one license. Definitely, if the person (whom I am providing the Installation Media), install two versions in two separate computers, I will loss two keys (but I want to allow only one). This is the basic reason to "control" the end user some how.

Its very important what is written over the media : DVD in your case (Not CD )

Offtopic though:

MS "tweaks" in different flavors of their distribution: My Win 7 Ultimate (Signature Edition) Launch party DVD (Obviously retail) asks for the key everytime I format it. I install and format only in one laptop (HP/Compaq), activate it through internet: the rearm count remains the same. In contrast, last time, I used my other Win 7 DVD (Signature Edition 64bit got some scratch I guess, it was refusing); that I got through another program (also retail), didnt asked for the key! I had to change it before activation.
I never installed my MSDN versions till now; Bare Foot can highlight how it appears LOL
