Hello nakulkundra, welcome to Seven Forums!

First you need to mark the Windows 7 partition as active then you'll need to run as many as 3 separate startup repairs with system re-boots between the repairs to write the boot files back to the W_7 partition; have a look at the tutorials below.
Be sure to post back to keep us informed.

Wipe the Linux partition to get all GRUB code off or it can interfere.

To wipe a partition, use free Partition Wizard bootable CD which is the best partitioning tool for Win7. Rightclick Partition>Wipe with at least one set of zeroes.

Then use the booted XP CD to create New partition and full format NTFS, as the partition table in XP is slightly different.

After XP install, install Net Framework 2.0 to enable installation of EasyBCD 2.0, then add Win7 to Dual Boot menu.

If this fails, follow Barefoot's steps in post above to start Win7 up, then add XP with EasyBCD 2.0 as it works better from Win7: accept offered XP boot files, let autocomplete, Save, Restart.

Welcome to SF! nakulkundra

The guide posted earlier for the Windows 7/XP dual boot will have two methods with one for seeing XP installed after 7. Once XP is installed the 7 mbr entries were replaced with XP's where the boot from the 7 dvd into the repair tools>command prompt option is used to enter the "Fixboot" and "Fixmbr" commands to restore the 7 boot information making that once again the default OS.

A look at your partitioning theme will help here as well for advising on how to see the XP entry added into the 7 BCD store as new boot option using the latest EasyBCD 2.0 theog pointed to. That's an excellent free program also suited for seeing a Linux distro added in as well found there.

Note that once the 7 boot loader is restored remember to check off the "Grub isn't installed into bootsector" box when pointing the NeoGrub form of Grub at the root partition for the distro. That will prevent Grub from replacing the 7 mbr entries and running into the Grub #22 error.
