Windows 7 installation fails after 1 setup session

    Hi all,

I am trying to install Windows 7 on my Acer Predator 7750G but everytime the first installation phase stops it says that it cannot configure my computer so the installation will stop.

I have had some virus problems on my HDD were i couldn't see what was on them, that is the reason why i have choosen to install from scratch on the computer!

    Anyone tried this problem?

    Appreciate the help

NB! I am from Denmark so my english is very poor, sorry for that!

    SGNDK,

Please follow the procedure to do a Clean All on your hard drive.

The majority of following info is in the links already given to you.

GO TO A COMMAND PROMPT USING YOUR WIN 7 DVD
■Boot up from your Windows 7 DVD.
■At the first dialog window, press SHIFT + F10 key combo
    ■You will have a X:> command prompt
X: is a ram drive created by Windows 7.

    WIPE A DISK CLEAN

    · type DiskPart, Enter key
    · type List disk, Enter key
note the numeral of the disk you want to clean
for example purposes, I’ll be using the numeral 2
    · type Select disk 2, Enter key
    · type Detail disk, Enter key
this info will let you know if you selected correctly
    · type Clean ALL, Enter key
your entire disk is being overwritten with zeros.
This can take a considerable amount of time
    · type EXIT, Enter key (only after Clean is finished)
    · type EXIT, Enter key (this gets you back where you were)

After 3 tries it worked! The first disk, which haves 931 GB, is now doing a clean all and after that the second disk will have the same treat; so it is gonna take about 8 hours (after your guides time info) so i will post again tomorrow or whenever the computer will be done!

And thanks, writing a post takes forever

I have just read the clean install guide again, and is says something about that when you run with raid you need to have your drivers on a USB pen! Is it possible that anyone of you guys know which drivers i need or de i even run raid when the predator is just as when it came from Acer (i know it is a dumb question but i have only had the computer for 2 weeks so i really want it to work).

My computer specs (here on danish if there is a different predator in US), mayby you guys can figure it out?

I have dowloaded the sata drivers from the Acer homepage!

http://www.acer.dk/acer/product.do?l...rAjaxHistory=0 It is the G7750 there
