As far as deletions and building new BCD store that's only one part of one equation regardless of the methods used.
It's when going to move the existing C primary you could easily end up with plenty of unallocated drive space if any partition table information is lost in the process while trying to reclaim the 101mb or so which includes the small amount of drive space reserved for changing Basic volumes into Dynamic volumes.
This why the recommendation here would be seeing a full system of the drive created prior to any attempt at removal and resizing the remaining C and any other partitions since partition changes are always risky business from the start. If any mishap is seen you can at least restore the image made.
