    setting up for first use

    So here's where I'm at:
DLed windows 7 (filename X15-65804), burned iso to disc, installed on my comp (which I gave a new motherboard and video card as well as 2 1G sticks of RAM prior to installation).
Installation was bumpy, but finished, and I'm now seeing the whole "setting up for first use" just before my screen goes black and the green power light on the monitor goes from green to yellow. Occasionally it get's a second or two farther than that, but essentially this is where I'm at... idunno what's what help!

Hello Danman356, welcome to Seven Forums!

As a start, use the SW at the link below to burn the ISO again at a lower speed, something like 4x to see if that helps; it is also possible to get a bad dl, it has happened to me.

    thanks!
I'll try burning it at a lower speed before work quick.
Will update around 12AM CST with results.
Happy to be on the forums!

If the installation doesn't complete when you burn DVD at 4x with Imgburn:

Can you default to onboard video for the install (remove card or disable in BIOS) then install card after Win7 is installed?

Do you have the latest BIOS version update from Support Downloads webpage for your model computer or mobo? What is the SATA controller settiing in BIOS setup. Try AHCI first.

If you have the latest BIOS version, then try resetting CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS.URL
