Hello andy52709, welcome to Seven Forums!

Is the method in the tutorial, at the link below how you created the flash drive installer? Be sure to post back with an update.

Oh, okay. Usually F10, del, or a similar key will get you into the one time boot menu. If you can't figure out which one it is, just go into BIOS. You should be able to find a list for boot order. You need to set it to boot from USB first.

Here are a couple tutorials that might help you along the way:

Welcome to SF. Please fill out your system specs in your profile for us to help you better. If you don't have a dvd drive, you will need to boot off the usb, as BFK mentioned above. You could also do a network install.

you'll need another computer to read the DVD and copy to a flash drive, but I found this tutorial to be very useful for installing or upgrading win 7 on netbooks that don't have a dvd drive.. Install Windows 7 from USB Pen Drive Using Grub4Dos

    Hello.

As Petey7 listed above, it would be advisable to do a "clean all" to the HDD before the install to get rid of all traces of Ubuntu so it doesn't cause issues later.

You didn't ask specifically, but in case you were wondering, you can NOT use Wine to install Win7.

As others have mentioned, you will have to create a bootable USB with Win7 on it and install from that.
