    Problems booting windows 7 dvd

Hey. I put my W7 dvd inside in, restarted my computer (currently still XP) and when my computer starts it asked me if i want to boot any dvd/cd i pressed enter. No problems. It loaded a bit then showed me starting windows and then the blue screen came. Then i think it loaded for a while because the circle was moving near the mouse and after it ended noting happened.

YouTube - Windows 7 Ultimate (full installation, boot, shutdown)

Maybe this video helps to explain. At 1:08 a new window appeared asking for a language, time and other stuff. For me it didnt appear and stayed blue. Also i have waited for a long time thinking maybe it just needs more time but with no results. I also tryed the same dvd on another computer of mine. A old HP laptop (Compaq nx9010) and no problems there. I could install W7 on that laptop but i think finding drivers for it might be a impossible task and i would want to haev W7 on my main computer.

EDIT: installing the 32 bit version

    Thanks for help :)

I had this problem once. I think it was a dvd burner error (my Burner is like, 4 years old :P)
I had to do a hard restart, but then it worked, although it was a lot slower than the 1st time i installed windows. I know you probably have tried many restarts.
Is this a retail disc, or a burned disc?

Yeah, i also had to close computer from the power button to leave it. After restart the same thing happened and you are right, i have done many restarts . Its a burned dvd but the same burned one worked in the laptop and if i remember right i once tried with a friends dvd and same result. Somewhat out of ideas to be honest.

it might be your dvd burner. Does it spin, then stop, and then you experience the blue windows screen without a dialogue box ever popping up?

Havent tryed that, i know i checked the green light wasnt on when i shut down my computer. I think i burned the iso on the lowest possible speed, someone said it might be good but i'm not 100% sure.

well, burning at the lowest speed is usually always good. it leaves less of a chance for file corruption.
    is this a downloaded version?

well, burned dvd's are sometimes hard for some burners to read.
I don't know what to tell you, except to keep trying to get the dvd to boot and install

well, if you can't even boot into the installer, it wouldn't make a difference.
