Ok to use wireless mouse/keyboard during installation of Windows 7?

    Ok to use wireless mouse/keyboard during installation of Windows 7?


    I've just gotten done backing up all the data I want backed up, uninstalled iTunes and all of it's components, ran Windows 7 advisor and am ready to proceed with the custom install but I just wanted to make sure that I would be ok using my existing wireless mouse and keyboard during the install. I have a Logitech S510 keyboard and a Logitech LX8 mouse....would I be alright to begin the installation process with these or should I connect hardwired versions instead? Thanks for your help

    I would connect wired ones. But if you're curious, try it and see what happens. Let us know how it goes.

    i have wireless mouse and keyb and recent clean install went fine with them

    Yes but be prepared if necessary to switch to wired.

    Thanks to you all for your responses but after seeing the first response I decided to err on the side of caution and connected wired devices just to be safe. Install went fine and I am now on Windows 7 Home Premium!

    I'm in the process now of installing the necessary programs and transferring my data back to my machine. It's nice to know at this site I have a reliable source of help and info at my figertips
