    Partition


    My friend has 4 partitions now he asked me to create 2 partions..can u tell me the procedure during installation?

    The short answer is -- you can't.

    If these are all Primary partitions, that is the maximum number you can have on a single drive.

    You would have to do the followingL
    1) back off one of the Primary partitions
    2) remove the Primary and replace it with an Extended partition
    3) recreate the Primary inside the new Extended partition
    4) Copy back the contents of the old Primary into the new Primary

    The two new partitions you create will both have to be inside the new Extended partition.

    All of this (as far as I know) will have to be done OUTSIDE of the installation process.

    Please post a screenshot of your full Disk Management drive map and listings, using Snipping tool in Start Menu.

    Please tell us what is on the current partitions, and whether you want new ones for data or an OS.

    Or are you asking us to help you consolidate four partitions into two?
