HP Recovery Manger Help

Hello Everyone
My Original Factory shipped OS was Vista 32bit the later on, I upgraded to Win7
messed up my system by accidently modifying the registry (Deleted explorer folder) and now everything dosen't work correctly as it should but the OS is still operational
Now i'm trying to use a Recovery Partition that was Shipped with my System to Restore itself to factory shipped settings, only thing is when i try to use the HP Recovery Manager that came with my computer, It Dosen't Recognize that the Recovery Partition is actually there and prompts me to use Backup disks which i have't created.
I have Not touched or modified the Recovery Partition since i installed Win7 So It's absolutely NOT Damaged.
So Help on getting my system Restored would be appreciated.

This is why you need to make your Recovery Disks when you get a new computer.

When you upgraded it likely lost the link to the Recovery partition. It would only recover you to Vista anyway and you want Win7, right? Vista doesn't need to be on the HD to reinstall Win7, just boot the installer and clean install over the current Win7: Clean Install Windows 7

First I would try to run System File checker which can replace any damaged System Files. Type CMD in start search box, rightclick on result, Run As Administrator, type sfc /scannow.

If this isn't enough then run a Repair Install from the desktop, which reinstalls Win7 while keeping all programs, files and settings in place.

If Win7 won't start, you can make a Repair Disk here to run System Restore: System Repair Disc - Create

Excerpted from tutorial on using Repair CD - System Repair Disk:

Insert the CD in the CD / DVD drive and reboot the computer.
When requested, "Hit any key to boot from CD."

Select the Language and click next.



Windows will search for an Operating System to repair.



You can choose to restore a System Image you created,
or go the Recovery Tools screen.



These are the same utilities available through the Install DVD,
or via the function of the 100 MB System Partition (if installed).



Or if you have the 100mb System Reserved partition, Tapping the F8 key before Windows loads (Safe Mode) opens this menu which will access the same Recovery Tools:
