Upgrade from XP to Win 7

I think it had "diskette" as first priority and "hard drive" or something as second and then "optical drive" as third. Can't tell how to enable booting from the DVD....

Optical drive set as first boot, Hard drive Second, floppy, last......

Set the Optical Drive as the the first to boot. Restart the computer with the dvd in the drive and the installation will begin.
