Installing Windows7 While on Ubuntu

    You're not supposed to enter the key during the installs, only after.

    un-check the "activate online" box

    If it gave the error once, you can make the registry change, then try to activate manually online.

    Yes you will still be able to activate online.

    I just did a whole fresh install again, to start from scratch. Making sure all the updates go through before I begin on option 3

    Before I go any further should I try entering the key here? Or should I just start doing the stuff for option three.

    Go to Control Panel, System and click the "Activate ... " link and add the key there.

Installing onto ubuntu 9.04

I just downloaded windows 7 beta using my sisters laptop and I put it onto a DVD-r and I put it into my desktop which is running Ubuntu 9.04 and restarted it and it took about a minute to try and boot from the disc but it just loads up ubuntu. I really don't know what to do :/
