i have so much clutter everywhere and too much installed, i'd rather just wipe and start clean again. so everyone who downloads windows 7 is kinda screwed if the need arises?

When you downloaded it, how did you install it if you didn't make a disc?

What was the file type you downloaded ? Did you save it to your hard drive?

You don't have to reinstall Vista to clean reinstall your WIn7 Upgrade version. Just boot from the DVD and it will see the old WIn7 on there and allow use of Upgrade version key.

Find the file you downloaded and we will help you burn an .iso (image file) to DVD using ImgBurn.

If you can't find the download, go back to the site and download it again.

Do you still have the Product Key. If not, then you've lost out unless the vendor will look it up for you.

If you have the Product Key, then you can use any retail Win7 installer of that version to reinstall.

Hello WVUFTW, welcome to Seven Forums!

The method out-lined in this tutorial at the link below is good to get the best possible space to install Windows to, it over-writes everything on the entire Hard Disk Drive (HDD) so make backups of anything you want to keep before you start.
