Wait it out, I really think you have a hardware problem somewhere that has put all this into
really slow mode.

It's almost like the computer has gone into sleep or hibernate mode

What if you move the mouse arround or tap the spacebar a few times ?

About a month ago it took me 12 hours to image a 80gb laptop drive to an ext HD, & then reinstall to a new 250gb HD. But it worked perfectly when finished.

:P computers are so unpredictable sometimes. Like now! I was on xbox or 15 mins and went to check up on my comp and i walk in to "wimdows is starting up" with the logo.. Good thing you told me to wait it out lol

Hmm okay i think i figured it out. "windows will restart several times during this process" is what the disc says during installation. Since it takes forever for the disc to respond on my comp, i thnk that when the screen "turns off" it is really restarting but taking forever to do so.. So thts why the screen turns off
