Why can't I do a clean install?

Maybe you should ask a tech-savvy friend to help you remove the RAM.

Be sure to unplug power cord. Once you open the case, don't touch any of the electronics without first touching the case to discharge static electricity. Failing to do this can fry your electronics including the RAM sticks.

I just took the case off my computet and wow.. I'm impressed. My uncle hookee me up biggg time o.O

i have 4 sticks of RAM and they are so shiny >.<
do i just remove them? (without frying them with human electricity ofcourse)

OKAY NEW DISCOVERY-

just did a random "windows memory diagnostic" and it revealed to me that there IS somethinf wrong after all!
This is the problem..

"file: \windows\systems32\winload.exe
status: 0xc000000F
info: 'the selected ... Cannot be loaded ... Because it is missing or corrupt'"

How do i fix this? If there is a way, will this fix the certain windows reboot during installation?


I think this might be my answer... Been searching for a good week now for hours a day..

That isn't a WMD test error. When did it occur, after computer attempted to restart after WMD test?

Run the WMD test again for both passes and see if it throw up errors during the test, and what it reports before restarting.

Have you unplugged all other HD's and USB devices to try install?

It would be better if you suspect memory problems to use memtest86 CD test run 5-6 passes or overnight to get the definitive answer on your RAM. Memtest86 - Download Page

-How is it NOT a WMD test error? I goggled it and it showed up with aton of people getting the same problem as me, just with different results (their settings WERE messed up and mine AREN'T)
-It occurred when I did the test. It showed up AFTER the test (the computer didn't restart)
-I went through both passes again and it showed the same error.
-I have tried almost every imaginable way to reinstall windows

Yes he gave me the retail copy of windows 7, with the product key on it :)

I have been researching and for this "error" i got, may be due to the wrong settings in the windows boot manager/loader in DOS. I looked up mine and they are all correct :/ so i'll do a memtest scan.

Memory test errors are not in that format and are contained within the memory test results area. The error you got was likely from the computer restarting. It can result from boot sector corruption.

DId you wipe the HD using "Clean All" and then partition using DISKPART commands from tutorial: SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Umm kind of :l Do I clear ALL the disks? Or just one. If i have to delete all, can i do them all at the same time or just one by one?

Which should i do first.. The memtest or redo the SDD/HDD ? i know both will take forever o.O

Well now that we find out you have a bunch of HD's, just unplug all but one and try install to one by booting DVD, selecting Custom install, then use Drive Options to create a partition and format it. That might be all it takes.

If not, run Diskpart Clean or Clean All (takes an hour per 320gb) on it to see if boot sector code is conflicting - somewhat doubtful on new HD's unless something glitched.

Then I'd do the memtest to see if you get memory errors in the category which lists errors. RUn it overnight to stress test the RAM and you'll know for sure.

One question, how do i "remove" drives? When i keep only one drive, does it matter which one? This whole time, i have been reinstalling and randomly deleting partirions etc. Wirh all the drives, not focusing on one. That may be the problem. Waiting for this start up repair to finish searching for problems, then i'll remove the drives and see whats up.
