Please help!! :'(

Hello, vista decided to f** up on my last night and my .dll's got currupted... Don't know which ones but when I tried booting up it wouldn't go onto the desktop... So I was like oh well might aswell install windows 7 afresh.... Soo I restart... Press any key... I deleat the old partition... Format it.... Then when I go to install it... It copies the files in 2 seconds... So the status on the *copying windows files is 100% but it won't expand the files :S I'm
so confused... If anyone can help
me out I will be indebted to you forthe rest of my life!

and that's a promis!! PlEASE HELP!!! :'(

Where did you download the win 7 image from?

Hello xRaZaa, welcome to Seven forums!

If the Windows 7 install disk is one you burned yourself it may be a bad burn and needs to be done again, if so this would be the first thing to try.

Use the free ISO burner at the link below to burn another at a speed of now more than 4x and select to let the program to verify the disk before it finishes.

I'll re burn it... I think I burnt this one at 8x... Another quick question... I kind of got annoyed at windows 7 for not installing but I tried installing xp onto which I know works... But that too stopes the installation.... And said I may have currupted files... Or a cruppted HDD... I'm kinda worried.... :/

Where did this image come from, is it a bad burn, is it an upgrade or full version, and which version of Windows is it?

It's only a bad burn... But as I said xp failed to install aswell :/ and that's a good copy as I installed it 2 weeks ago on my pc...

So with your "good" burn, did the operating system install? If not, and you had problems with XP, was XP also a burn?

sounds like he simply had a bad wipe job. go to the partition wizard website and download the pw 5.2 iso, burn it to disk and boot into it. do a secure wipe from there. then try your install of either xp or your newly burned 7 disk. please follow the above avice about using imgburn and burn at no more than 4x.

Windows will do a wipe called a "clean all" before the install from diskpart, though the thing to remember is the Windows "clean all" will over-write every sector on the entire Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and mark the HDD as unallocated space so backup anything you don't want to lose.

Where did you get Win7?

After burning another DVD at 4x speed using ImgBurn (it never fails) boot it to wipe the HD first using BFK's tutorial, then clean install.

Where did you get Win7?
