Ok well i downloaded Paragon Rescue Kit 10 free edition after it finished downloading i clicked the file it opened an asked for a product key and serial number which they gave me for free then it asked me if i wanted an iso file or if i wanted to burn it to a cd i chose iso because i dont have any cds right now i then mounted the file using daemon tools
(i didn't think this method would work but i tried anyway) and restarted my pc only to be met by a blue screen then multiple errors telling me basically that i didn't have a hard drive i went into bios an set my pc back to it original default settings this fixed the problem and allowed me to boot back into windows xp

Im a little confused on what exactly to do with paragon rescue kit could you give me some clear instructions as i dont want to risk messing my pc up again ...which ive done literally hundreds of times but i some how always figured out how to fix it

But im going to need a little help this time

Click on the CD to burn it using WIndows Image Burner. You can get 5 pack of good quality CD's on the wall rack at Walgreens for $2.

Quote:
Boot the Paragon cd - select Normal Mode , then Boot Corrector.

Correct drive letters in the system registry. Assign original letter F to the 7 partition.

Release the letter F first, if necesssary.

If there are any problems with the program while in boot mode, take a clear readable camera snap to post back here, or detailed explanation.

I won't be around much after 11-1 pm PST tomorrow but should be back on Monday afternoon. I wish you could have run the Repairs tonight when I could help you.

If Paragon won't help then the Repair Install can also fix it, as it did just a few days back for this exact situation. You need to be able to run the DVD from the desktop, however, so it will likely have to be triggered using the command I gave earlier from Task Manager. If it wants Administrative approval then there's a workaround I'll have to find.

Do you want to try the Repair Install now?

Do you have files you need to copy out first? Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console
