You'll be sorry when it eats your Windows but I won't tell anyone.
well i wont clone windows or try the paragon thingy i think the opensuse is worth a try i have to wait for a new dvd drive to arrive this week so once thats installed i will disconnect the windows 7 hard drive fit the ssd. boot from opensuse instillation disc and when that is up and running will reconnect windows 7 drive and have duel boot for two operating systems (phwew)
This was going to be my next suggestion to avoid boot issues.

well the ssd is only 30GB not really big enough for 7 (why kingston think it is i dont no maybe on a first time win 7 install ) and thats lots of room for the opensuse and it will be another project not to waste the ssd. of course the windows 7 will be my primary source for the internet

Does Kingston have freeware to clone your HD over to new SSD?

If so, you can move your User files onto a separate partition on source HD, gradually shrinking C to where it is only OS and programs. Then if it is small enough clone it over to SSD.

Then link the User files to their location on the data drive: User Folders - Change Default Location

This is how I plan to migrate to an SSD soon. If the cloning doesn't work as I want, then I'll clean install.

i have put opensuse on it and it runs fine its only a 30GB ssd you see and to much hassle with windows to clone i think its best to use at least 60GB ssd and install windows 7 from new then add a large optical drive for all your storage after you have the ssd up and running
