Add me to list of people confused as to why you called it Windows 8. As a suggestion, stop messing around with some hacked version of the OS, and get the real thing.

I would format clean install and start again... God knows what kind of viruses you got yourself now. REMEBER ALWAYS BACKUP IMPORTANT FILES.
It's a pirated copy, most probable. Get a clean and genuine Windows 7 version. Windows 8 does not exist so far.
I wasn't asking how to save Programs and drivers- I can always back them up on a separate drive. what i was wondering was if there was a way to downgrade (if you will) from this version to the normal W7 Ultimate, and use something like the Windows Transfer Wizard. But anyway I wiped the partition clean and reinstalled W7 Ultimate with no problems.
Your files are not safe on a separate partition if you have infected your HD. Run MSE and Malwarebytes on all drives, including the bogus DVD.
I just gotta ask. Why would you even consider experimenting on your current system. Swap the hdrive first, I know, you probably don`t have one. I would reinstall and learn from your experience.
I have the same question too....
Need downgrade to windows 7 ultimate 32bit from Windows 8 Beta (Windows Developer Preview)
without losing settings and installed programs.
And here's my screenshots:
(It's was all great, more greater than windows 7, but there's so many problems there )
