It's called CopyWipe, just download it and burn the ISO image to CD, its very small.

Boot from CD, once it begins, choose wipe. Use quick-method, it still takes a while.

Then try a clean install, Clean Install Windows 7 from DVD.

Hello angrymobjustice, welcome to Seven Forums!

You don't need a third party program to do a wipe "secure erase" to the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) the Windows installer will do it natively, if that's what you choose to do though it would be advisable to clean the HDD before you install Windows 7 so you don't have any conflicts, have a look at the info below.

Be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

After you have made backups of everything you care to save and you want to do a real wipe "secure erase" to the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) have a look at this tutorial at the link below, it over-writes everything, all the old Windows code including the old Windows drivers, everything all data, giving you the best possible space to install Windows 7 to; it goes hand-in-hand with a clean install.

Nothing to be concerned about mate your suggestion worked though if the diskpart method is done right it will work.

He may have needed Clean All zeroing to overcome bad code, which sounds like what CopyWipe did. If it ran all night it may zero x3 which is DOD standard for wiping all data securely.

Yes, copy wipe is awesome. I'm gonna keep that CD in a safe place. I'm so happy I have Win 7. I used to love XP, but it just seems so dated compared to Win 7.

Thanks again guys.
