Importing programs into new user accounts

I have just bought a new dell inspiron desktop with windows home premium 64bit. For the first time I want to set up new user accounts for the family. Setting up an account is easy. I just go into user accounts/add or remove/create a new account. But each new account I create is a complete "blank slate". By that I mean it has none of the programs I have downloaded in the administrator account. How do I copy across from the adminstrator account the programs and files that I want to be used and accessible to each new user account?

Put another way, I want to build one desktop image that can be copied across to each new user account without have to download everything again.

    Any ideas?

Hello texmame, welcome to Seven Forums!

I'm aware this isn't exactly what you're asking for; in Windows Explorer, in the account you want to add links to the programs/apps to, browse to where it is installed, Program Files or for a 64-bit OS maybe Program Files (x86) and find the "Application" and right click it and click "Create Shortcut" to place a shortcut to that prog/app on the target desktop.

Of course for a standard user account you will need to add your administrator account user credentials for the UAC prompt.
Be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.
