How to dual boot Linux Mint and Windows 7?

Well, hello back! I have been using Linux Mint, which is based on Ubuntu, since the last time I visited the forums but now I want to dual boot with Windows 7....

    So...
I have just Mint 8 (based on Ubuntu 9.10) installed on my laptop (nothing else), and I if I wanted to dual boot with Windows 7, how would I do it?
I've read guides and stuff but they're sometimes outdated, and I know I could use VirtualBox to run Windows 7 but I want to dual-boot.

    Hello bp96.

Or you could put Windows 7 on the first partition of the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) have a look at this tutorial at the link nelow for an out-line of the process; be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Thanks for the suggestions but I have just linux mint installed on my computer- no other operating systems (including Windows 7). And if I do install Win7, then I might not be able to boot into Linux because it won't show up in the Windows loader...

Yeah but I don't have Windows on my computer, the links are directed if you want to dual boot with Ubuntu Linux and already have Windows installed. My computer's the other way round (i.e. I have Ubuntu Linux already installed and I want to dual boot with Windows, but it isn't on my computer yet) :)

You don't have to have anything at all installed to use this tutorial to create a partition to install Windows 7 to and it would be/do better from the first partition on the HDD anyway.

Whoops- I don't think I was reading properly!

When I install Windows with a dual boot, I don't want the same problems I had before like it getting infected by malware causing BSOD's and things like that. Please check out my other threads I did several months ago, before I switched to Linux. The main reason why my laptop kept on getting infected is because when I give my laptop to my parents, who don't know much about computers (only the basics like Googling and they only use it to find products and to shop online), the laptop usually gets infected my malware...

But now I've found a "possible solution" - using a sandbox...Which is the best sandboxing program out of these?
    --DefenseWall
    --BufferZone
    --SandBoxie
    --GeSWall
(feel free to suggest something that's not on the list :) )

And because I don't know much about sandboxing, will it keep malware out of my computer when my parents are using the web accessing random websites?
