    Win7 on External USB disk

Hi. I 've tried to install win7 on an external HD but I've got the attached error message. I have a mobo Q8200 Intel Core 2 Quad, bios settings: USB always enabled, boot sequence : 1-usb/2-dvd/3-hd(with Vista HP 64).

I'd like know if it's impossible or I'm in a mistake
    Thank you very much
    Best Regards

    This might help.

In a nutshell, you want to dump the image to your flash drive. My method involves using UltraISO 9.3, loading the Win7 image and selecting /Bootable/Write Disc Image in the menu. I enable Verify and it works like a charm. I suggest re-burning the image since it doesn't sound like it's being recognized as bootable by the BIOS - all your other settings sound fine. Good luck and let us know how it works for you.

Gentlemen, I belive Cordino is attempting to install Win7 on a portable (USB) harddrive, not create an image from which to install.

Isn't it true that Win7 will not install onto removable media?

...Maybe we didn't understand: I'd like install win7 on usb HD but I get the attached error message. I'd like know if I'm in a mistake or if is impossible to install Win7 on USB drive. In concrete terms I thought to an alternative of dual boot
    Is possible ?
    Thanks
