Thanks again I think there can be reasons other than performance to check for that.

Yes, missing drivers associated with chipset. "Co-processor" will sometimes show up without a driver after install, requiring the full Nvidia chipset install.

MS spent a fortune building drivers for Win7, and paying manufacturers under their WHQL program to build drivers so they wouldn't hold out to force us to buy newer hardware as in Vista.

As a result almost all drivers are already in the installer, with newer quickly available via optional Updates.

We have regular cases of problems with users who immediately change out their drivers thinking this is the same as with XP, when Win7 is the opposite of XP with drivers.

Yes I just fixed something like that in our Vista computer. The malfunction was only showing up when it was used together with the Aten switch. That was great to have it fixed in my other thread this morning

MSE updates flagged in Win 7 updates but not XP Mode updates
I find it odd that when I do a Windows Update in Windows 7, the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) updates are also found. But if I do a Windows Update in XP Mode, the MSE updates are not found. I don't suppose this is controllable? I'd like the Windows Update to find MSE updates.
