    This is puzzling and I too would love to know what the cause is.

    I've never needed to manually align if letting Windows handle everything. Fortunately we have excellent tutorials on how to do so if needed.

    I am aware it is a needed step for a XP install, Still, there must be something that causes it to be off under Win7.

    Considering I aligned it using diskpart before starting the install and Paragon AT reports it miss-aligned!
