failed to start file: \NST\NTLDR status: 0x000000f

I have installed a clone of my XP in a partition on my new Windows 7 64 bit laptop.
I went through this procedure EasyBCD many times. I have the dual boot show up but XP will not boot. It gives the error message
failed to start
file: \NST\NTLDR
status: 0x000000f
I did this
If you get Error loading Operating System after XP restarts:

• Using your Windows 7 installation disc, boot to the command prompt at startup.
• Type in these comands below, and press enter after each one.
  
  • bootrec /FixMbr
  • bootrec /FixBoot
  • bootrec /RebuildBcd
  
  
• Exit the command prompt and restart the computer.
• At this point, Windows 7 should boot up the same way before trying to install XP.
• Continue to step 8 below and run EasyBCD from Windows 7 instead

It still will not boot xp.

Did you try using EasyBCD to add XP from Win7 to dual boot? If so, on Edit OS menu delete the XP entry, then Add it again on Add OS tab. It may offer boot files, accept to autocomplete, Save, Restart.

If this fails, post back a screenshot of your Win7 full Disk Management drive map and listings, using SNipping Tool in Start Menu.

Thanks for getting back with me. I have two snips but I don't know how to attach them. Can you tell me how to do it.
In the View Settings for XP is Drive C:\ Bootloader Path \NST\ntldr.
In the Bootloader Setup the selection is Windows Vista/7 bootloader to MBR.
If I Press the Write MBR then the computer will not boot and I have to use the Windows 7 disk to repair the operating system.

Need to see a Disk Management drive map and listings screenshot. Type Disk Management in Start Search box.

Not sure why you used the Write MBR option. You need to remove XP on Edit Boot menu tab and Add it again on Add OS tab.

I tried to boot after I made the changes and attachments. When I chose XP to boot a few seconds later I say a very brief flash of the XP screen. The problem may be in the XP os. I have the disk manage on the next e-mail.

Did you delete XP in Edit Boot Menu tab, then add it again in Add New Entry tab?

You may need to try reimaging XP again to see if you can add it correctly just using the Add New Entry tab.
