    Moving System partition to SSD

I have a new PC (HP) that came with an OEM version of Win 7/64, I also purchased an SSD that I had planned to use for a boot disk with all libraries on a second 1TB HDD.

I successfully installed Win 7 on the SSD and was happy for a bit, until I discovered some instabilities. Long story short, HP does not release the drivers for their in-house products and I could not stabilize the system, so I moved the SSD to Drive D and re-installed from the factory image. All the drivers I need are there and system is 100% stable.

My question is - is there a way to move the System partition over to the SSD so I get the 10 second boot that was so nice?

Any drivers needed for clean reinstalling Win7 should be in the installer, quickly available via optional Windows Updates, or on the Support Downloads webpage for your exact model computer or device.

You might have accidentally swapped out drivers thinking this was still XP or Vista which need imported drivers. MS spent a fortune so they would all be in the installer or via optional Updates.

You can try imaging your OEM install over to the SSD using Win7 backup imaging or Macrium Reflect. Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

But using the opportunity to rid yourself of the heap of HP factory bloatware makes Clean reinstalling as better option. You can even extract favorite OEM apps from your Recovery Disks using this method: https://www.sevenforums.com/installat...tml#post488270
