Windows 7 installation problem.. help? D:

    Hey guys,

I recently got a computer from a friend.
Now, he took his hard drive with him, so I went and bought a new one today.
    It's a terrabyte.
So, I need to install a new OS on it. And I have windows 7 professional.
So, in BIOS, it will detect my hard drive, no problem. I start the setup fine for windwos 7, except, theres a few things.
It skips a few steps like, agreeing to the terms of service, and if I want to upgrade or custom. It goes right to select a drive, which then comes the problem.
It won't detect my hard drive in the installation, but BIOS will detect it.
    Help? D:

Is the drive formatted? Does it have any partitons? A drive letter?

Don't know to the first two, and the last one I'm not sure either. It's all installed properly, all the wires are put in right. It just doesn't want to show up in the windows 7 installation, but I can see my other drives, like the floppy, the cd drive, and the Boot (X: ) drive

On a side note, I just switched it from IDE to ACHI so I hope that will work x:

The answer to that would be no, it didn't work. And to answer the other question, no it is probably not partitioned nor formatted. I bought it today and then placed right into my new computer, so its completely blank, nothing has been done to it

So I was reading through the forums, and now i'm concerned.
The installation completely skips asking for my agreement and skips whether I want to upgrade or custom, can anyone answer that one? D:
