Win7 cannot be installed. Selected disk has an MBR partition
Hi,
I'm trying to do a clean install on Windows 7 64-bit on my laptop. I currently have 32-bit Vista running.
I initially created a new partition, copies all my data there, then started to do the custom install. I got the message:
Some Googling around found the following suggestion:Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
I have tried to go in to the start-up options but I don't see this option. I just keep getting back to the above error message.Esc when booting to take you into the EFI boot manager and select DVD-Drive instead of ACPI (....) string
I have since deleted my extra partition, and intend just re-syncing my laptop's data via Dropbox (9GB - hope it will be ok!).
Any suggestions how to get this install working please? Thanks!
