    .Net issues

    Hi.

I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and have issues installing an application.

The application tells, that it want .Net 1.1 to be installed.

As can be viewed in the attachments, it tells, if I want to go to download the wanted .net application. Also the attachments shows what happens, when I want to install .Net 1.1.

I can see, that I have .Net 4 installed.

What can I do here ?.

What application is it? I assume it's pretty old considering the version of .NET it requires.

I'm a radioamateur, and have a software defined radio. The software is PowerSDR 1.18.6 from Flexradio Systems

Hello darkhorse, welcome to Seven Forums!

I don't know if it'll work or not but as it seems you have Windows 7 Ultimate, maybe you can get the program to run in XP mode; have a look at this tutorial at the link below.

    Thank you for your reply.
I doubt it will run on a virtual XP, as it needs all possible power from the computer. Also I beleive, that there will be much too high DPC's.

Anyway, I installed .net, and software and hardware has run since that. I don't know what eventually will happen, as the .net is not intended for W7U 64bit.

There seems to be a workaround available for .net 1.1 on win7.

My Thoughts: Installing Dotnet Framework 1.1 on Windows 7 beta edition

Bill2: Thank you, I looked at it the other day.

Bare Foot Kid: So far I have not further to tell, as it is running the .Net1.1 under W7U-64bit
